Penticton Beer Blocks Donates $3,000 to BC Parks Foundation to Help Protect Wild Places in the Okanagan
Penticton, BC — This holiday season, the Penticton Beer Blocks—Penticton’s collective of seven craft breweries—are raising a glass to giving back. Building on the success of this year’s Do Good Forest Pale Ale, the group is proud to donate $3,000 to BC Parks Foundation, supporting the protection of at-risk and ecologically significant lands in the Okanagan and throughout British Columbia.
Each year, the Penticton Beer Blocks collaborates on the Do Good beer, brewed to highlight the power of community, craft, and collective stewardship. A portion of the proceeds is donated to a local organization that helps keep the region vibrant, healthy, and wild. This year’s beneficiary, BC Parks Foundation, was selected for its vital work safeguarding the natural spaces that make the Okanagan so extraordinary.
“We always aim to do well by our community—and doing good is part of who we are,” says Alexis Esseltine, co-owner of Tin Whistle Brewing Co., where this year’s Do Good Forest Pale Ale beer was brewed. “This donation reflects our shared commitment to keeping wild places wild, so people can continue to explore and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding Penticton.”
Heather Altas, VP, Philanthropy for BC Parks Foundation, says the support is meaningful and timely. “We are incredibly grateful for the Penticton Beer Blocks and their commitment to protecting the Okanagan’s natural areas. Their generosity helps us safeguard special places now and for future generations. What could be better than enjoying a locally crafted beer while knowing you’re helping protect the landscapes you love?”
The $3,000 contribution will support ongoing conservation projects led by the Foundation, including the protection of threatened habitats, restoration initiatives, and community partnerships across the province.
As 2025 comes to a close, the Penticton Beer Blocks extend their appreciation to craft beer fans, visitors, and local partners who help us Do Good every year. Together, the community continues to demonstrate the power of collaboration—one pint at a time.
